DIRECT APPROACH AND INTERNATIONAL HEADHUNTING : A TARGETED APPROACH
What is direct approach or headhunting?
“Headhunting” is also called “direct approach”. It consists of contacting talents who do not appear to be actively looking but who may be open to the market. The main tools of this approach are mainly international social networks, such as LinkedIn, which can also be associated with the various CV libraries and databases available in the countries concerned. The direct approach is often associated with advertisement publications except in the case where the company wishes to keep its recruitment confidential for strategic reasons.
What added value does a “headhunter” bring?
An international “Head Hunter” is a recruitment expert who has a network of candidates, more or less actively monitoring, but also a network of professionals on whom he can rely. He can therefore activate his network according to your needs.
In a structure like TC CONSULTING, the Consultant is not alone and works with a team of Recruitment Managers who can also approach talent.
The recruiter devotes his time to this process, which is certainly time-consuming but which he can also optimize because his organization is dedicated to this task.
How does a “headhunter” works?
In order to succeed in a direct approach mission, TC CONSULTING recruiters follow a very organized and identical approach for all recruitments:
Job specifications
“There is no favorable wind to him who does not know where he is going” Seneca
A recruitment process is based on a clear definition of the position and the company’s expectations, particularly on skills and personality.
A Consultant cannot therefore begin a direct approach mission without knowing precisely the company and its expectations. An in-depth interview with the client at the start of the mission and ongoing discussions are therefore essential.
Candidate interviews
Once the “headhunting” process has been completed and the profiles pre-selected, the candidate then enters the classic recruitment process.
He therefore participates in one or more interviews with the Recruiter and carries out the various tests planned in the process.
Only once this step has been validated will it move on to the next step with the client.
“Headhunting”
Hunting means looking for talent that matches the specifications established with the client, but by approaching those who are not officially looking.
This is an approach that can be carried out either through the firm’s professional network or through an internal candidate pool. The major tool remains professional social networks such as LinkedIn or various databases by country (CV libraries).
It is a digitalized process using keywords which makes it possible to detect profiles, contact them and initiate a discussion on the opportunity or not, depending on their interest.
Sourcing and job offers
Unless the company requests absolute confidentiality regarding the recruitment process, the direct approach process is always supplemented by the publication of job offers on various media.
The digital platforms used are chosen based on their audience in the country concerned.
Their aim will be to promote the position and add to the list of candidates who are applying. The latter present a different and complementary approach.
The final accompaniment
At the end of the process, the client will receive the file of each candidate (CV, interview summary and test report) before starting the interviews organized by us on their premises.
At this stage, the consultant remains in support and accompanies the client in the final choice of candidate.
